Christmas Day Reflection : “It’s about God, Families and Friends.”

PM SOLUTION PRO Christmas Greetings to all !

It is my prayer that many of you will be spending some great time with your respective close families and friends. In all the upcoming festive gatherings, make sure you don’t forget the grandparents who started you all! They are very much a part of each family unit that came to be. They’d be thrilled with even just a call from their kids and of course, from their loveable, innocent and amazing grandchildren.

Enjoy a few days with the people you truly care about. Share traditional foods, common table, good-natured jokes, lessons learned, unforgettable experiences, plenty of hugs, heart-felt embraces full of affections, forgiveness, and love.

The absence of family makes one sad, most especially during Christmas holiday. It is a difficult situation when one finds himself/herself alone. It is an opportune time where a good friend can be a life-saver. To my fellow Christians, let us not forget that Christmas also means, “God is with us.” Here’s wishing everyone in need on such an occasion to find a pair of helping hands. If not from supportive friends, from the blessed hand of the Creator. All the best this holy season. God bless us all !

Excerpts from Christmas Holiday written by Hans J. Hillibrand @Encyclopaedia Britannica

Christmas, Christian festival celebrating the birth of Jesus. The English term Christmas (“mass on Christ’s day”) is of fairly recent origin. The earlier term Yule may have derived from the Germanic jōl or the Anglo-Saxon geōl, which referred to the feast of the winter solstice. The corresponding terms in other languages—Navidadin Spanish, Natale in Italian, Noël in French—all probably denote nativity. The German word Weihnachten denotes “hallowed night.” Since the early 20th century, Christmas has also been a secular family holiday, observed by Christians and non-Christians alike, devoid of Christian elements, and marked by an increasingly elaborate exchange of gifts. In this secular Christmas celebration, a mythical figure named Santa Claus plays the pivotal role.

Excerpts from Wikipedia

Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, observed primarily on December 25[a][10][11][12] as a religious and cultural celebration among billions of people around the world.[2][13][14] A feast central to the Christian liturgical year, it is preceded by the season of Advent or the Nativity Fast and initiates the season of Christmastide, which historically in the West lasts twelve days and culminates on Twelfth Night;[15] in some traditions, Christmastide includes an octave.[16] Christmas Day is a public holiday in many of the world’s nations,[17][18][19]is celebrated religiously by a majority of Christians,[20] as well as culturally by many non-Christians,[1][21] and forms an integral part of the holiday season centered around it.

The traditional Christmas narrative, the Nativity of Jesus, delineated in the New Testament says that Jesus was born in Bethlehem, in accordance with messianic prophecies.[22] When Josephand Mary arrived in the city, the inn had no room and so they were offered a stable where the Christ Child was soon born, with angels proclaiming this news to shepherds who then further disseminated the information.[23]
